The first painting in my Pandemic series. I was working on my 40x40” series and this painting had a mind of it’s own. Taking the longest to finish because I didn’t want to dominate the muse in this case. it was one of those paintings that let me know when it’s done with me. The title evolved from the way I first felt about it, an early morning in the village. Currently hanging on the wall next to my desk I see it more deeply now. I see the Pandemics effect on Manhattan. This painting is the inspiration for the series. These are world changing times that we are all living in.

My interest in art as self expression started at a very early age. I sold my first painting at eighteen. Never attending an art school I learned my craft on the job as an apprentice to master craftsmen. Learning to do restoration work, to paint reproductions of the old masters paintings, as well as painting murals, faux and Trompe l'oeil for many of the world�s most demanding clients. Later I attended Akron University to study theater scene painting. As a master artist I have designed and painted theater scenery for numerous productions and painted private commissions for well established internationally known designers as well as original works that are collected around the world.
